Interns at VELA are engaged cross-functionally across our entire organization. We provide our interns learning opportunities with our investment team as well as our business operations team. Our interns make meaningful contributions to our firm, including researching companies and writing investment theses for potential portfolio investments, streamlining business processes, conducting client and prospect analytics, and the completion of an intern team project. In addition, we host learning and social events throughout the internship to provide a well-rounded experience.

We are seeking candidates for our summer intern class who align with our investment philosophy, our collaborative culture, and our learning environment.

Essential Qualifications:

• Demonstration of curiosity and desire for continuous learning.
• Ability to clearly communicate, both verbally and written.
• Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and manage tasks and projects independently.
• Team player with a competitive spirit and the highest level of integrity; strong work ethic.
• Strong interest in the investment management industry.

Educational Background:

• Pursuit of bachelors or graduate degree from an accredited university or college.
• Evidence of strong academic background and intellectual curiosity.

Location:

This position can be based out of the VELA New Albany, OH office or a remote work arrangement.
