Jason joined VELA in 2020 and has served as a Portfolio Manager on the All Cap Concentrated strategy inception, Small Cap strategy since October 2024, and Small-Mid Cap since December 2025 inception.

Prior to joining VELA, Jason served as Co-Portfolio Manager of the Long-Short Strategy at Diamond Hill Capital Management. Jason held various positions at Diamond Hill, including Research Analyst, Co-Director of Research, and Sector Leader of the Industrials, Materials, Energy and Transportation Team.

Jason holds a B.A. from Ohio Wesleyan University.
