Al joined VELA in December 2023 as a Fixed Income Senior Consultant, working with our team to build our Fixed Income platform and strategies to support our client needs.

Al came to us from Ohio Dominican University where he served as CFO since 2016. Prior to his time at Ohio Dominican University, Al served as Associate Treasurer/Senior Director at The Ohio State University. In this role, he was responsible for managing over $2 billion in operating investments and managed a $2.5 billion debt portfolio. Al also served as a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager at PNC Bank.

Al received an MBA in Finance and a B.S.B.A. from The Ohio State University.
